Separated and Divorced
SEPARATED AND DIVORCED:
Has your family been torn apart by the end of your marriage? You are not alone; 57% of all marriages end in divorce. If so, life as you know it has or will change. As painful as it is life must go on; toward a new beginning and acceptance of our situation. You need not walk this path alone. Come to a supportive environment where the participants understand what you are going through. You will learn how to deal with your feelings and look forward to rebuilding your life, becoming the person God intended you to be. We must be willing to do the work. In the group, we share our pain, joys, and practical solutions to problems we encounter.
Our group continues to meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month. The next meeting is May 12th from 7 – 9 PM in the Resource Room. Newcomers are always welcome. If you or anyone you know is interested in more information please contact Richard or Elise Hobson 333-9868 Kathy Hoarn 883-0945 Dennis Keck 883-3854

CRASH Club Corner
CRASH Club Corner:
This past week at CRASH, we took a break from our regular Monday night routine and had a "Cinco de Mayo" Fiesta. We began the evening outside for the infamous CRASH banana eating relay race. Following that, we headed back inside for several games and activities to celebrate the holiday including breaking a pinata, a limbo contest and a game of pin the tail on the donkey. The atmosphere for our fiesta on Monday included Mexican music, morrocas and sombreros just to name a few. To fully complete our Cinco de Mayo celebration, we made quesadillas and nachos and had a Mexican dinner together. Thanks to team #2 (Abbie Nash, Natalie Santos, Devin McGuire, Paul Henry, Teresa Sikorski, Sarah Cuprizinski, Chris Landis, Kat Heffern and Quincy Walzer) for a great night!

Invite a Friend Back to Church!!
INVITE A FRIEND BACK TO CHURCH
Do you know someone who has been away from the church for a long time and who may be considering a possible return to an active practice of our Catholic faith? Perhaps our Reconnecting with the Church ministry may prove helpful. We are a group of lay people who are willing to share our faith with others. We listen to their stories, do our best to answer their questions and try to help them on their journey.
If anyone you know is interested in such conservations, please invite that person to contact us. Please pick up our brochure in the rack on your left just inside the entrance to the Church and call Mary Kay or Rob Kuser at 609-896-1652 to learn more.

Reaching out with Hope
REACHING OUT WITH HOPE
“You may be shocked to learn that in a recent survey of 900 New Jersey high school juniors and seniors, a full 30 percent told us they place a bet at least once a week, either at cards, the casinos, the track, on sports or the lottery. Almost one third!”
Ed Looney, Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey.
That’s a lot of gambling. Yes, some of it is no more than a lot of us do – betting in a sports pool at work, or even at Church. And now, there’s the added convenience of internet gambling, so readily available to anyone that goes online. But for some of those young people, just as it is for some adults, gambling is a potentially serious problem, and one unfortunately that isn’t addressed as well as it could be. In addition, for them, it’s illegal as well.
Ed Looney again, “We've made so much progress in educating our children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. But as good as our schools are, there is virtually little information provided to school-aged children on gambling, compulsive gambling and treatment and referral services.”
The Hope ministry invites you to stop at the display in the Gathering Area to find out more about gambling problems. You are also invited to visit www.800gambler.org , a web site filled with much information along with phone numbers and meetings of Gamblers Anonymous.
