CRASH CLUB CORNER NOTES:
Monday night began with a reflection and prayer for our late pope.
On April 25th, Team 2 will lead a night describing some of the
processes our church undergoes for selecting the next pope. This
week our icebreaker was a lively game of broom hockey up in the gym.
You would be surprised how quickly metal broomsticks can be
demolished…
In small groups we shared our thoughts about teams and teamwork. We
talked about the good of the many versus the good of the few and
discussed times when sacrificing our own agendas is good/bad for the
intentions of others. One group discussed examples about 9/11 and
how the sacrifices made by passengers on the third plane saved the
lives of many.
Laura Desai closed the evening with a reflection about our CRASH
family. As we looked around the room at the 30+ youth and adults, we
remember to be thankful for the tremendous blessing of our presence
to each other. Thank you to the youth and adults of Team 4 who
planned the evening: Drew Davy, Megan McDonough, Greg Stolowski,
Kathleen Reside, Tim Reside, Kristian Taylor, Kathy Seiler and Frank
Schulte.
If you are interested in attending the 2005 Summer Workcamp (initial
deposit money is due!) and/or the 2005 National Catholic Youth
Conference, please contact a CRASH leader soon: Laura (737-3877),
