Ministry to Bereaved Families:
Lazarus Group and Bereavement Committee
:

We try to bring the presence of Jesus to a bereaved family by extending the sympathy of our parish, and offering to assist them in any needs they have. We hope that our presence will be a reminder of the beautiful words of Jesus, "I am the Resurrection and the Life."

Our commitment is to assure that NO member of our community grieves alone. The Lazarus Group's goal is to support with the love, practical skills and faith we share in the promise of resurrection.

If the family wishes, a luncheon will be provided after the funeral in the Family Center. Friends and family members who wish to assist are welcome.
Anyone wishing to join the work of this group by volunteering their service in,

is invited to call.

Bereavement Committee
At the time of death, we extend the sympathy of the parish to the family of the bereaved via a personal note of condolence. We also send cards of remembrance on the first anniversary of the death in recognition of the need for ongoing support throughout the grief process.  In addition, a member of this committee will visit parishioners who have suffered a loss during the past year and bring a poinsettia at Christmas.
